Gulf Coast Archaeology Group (GCA Group) was established in 2006. GCA Group specializes in regulatory agency coordination and turnkey project management. We can accommodate a stand-alone Cultural Resource Management project, or function as part of a multidisciplinary team in a cost-effective manner.
We have experience in 17 states within the United States, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Colombia. Our cultural resource specialists meet or exceed the requirements of the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards and Guidelines. Most of our archaeological and historical experience revolves around cultural resource investigations required for Sections 106 and 110 compliance and we are therefore experienenced in the implementation of state and federal laws. The expertise in these laws and regulations include, but is not limited to, the Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), and the American Indian Religious Freedom Act (AIRFA).
Additionally, GCA Group strongly believes in educating the public about archaeology and preservation. We conduct speaking engagements at schools and offer annual courses in a variety of archaeological topics. If you are interested in having us come to your school or wish to attend one of our classes, please feel free to
